You know what they say about assumptions

Last week I shared I’d delve into assumptions. Now this is not your typical assumptions conversation. 

Throughout the Blueprint training, we’re constantly writing down assumptions regarding our business, product, customers, markets and so much more. 

The 5 C’s we categorized them into are: Customer, Competition, Channel, Context and Core Competency. While I wrote down some assumptions I was confident on, I also documented assumptions which I still need to test. 

Many of the assumptions I listed pertained to the differentiation of my product and marketing strategies. As I’ve tested these, I’ve confirmed many are true.

One important takeaway from this week’s content and training curriculum, is assumptions will always need to be tested. Especially when MVPs continuously shift and pivot.
